Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how NatalCalculator.com ("we," "our," "us") handles personal information when you use our website. We have designed the site to collect as little personal data as possible, and to keep your most sensitive information — your birth date, time, and place — entirely on your device.
Information we collect
Birth data (not collected by us). When you use the birth chart calculator, your birth date, time, and location are processed entirely in your browser. They are never transmitted to our servers, never logged, and never stored in any database we operate. We have no record of any chart calculated by any user.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server logs for the purpose of operating the site, including IP address, requested URL, response code, user agent string, and timestamp. These logs are retained for up to 30 days and used solely for debugging, security, and abuse prevention.
Analytics. We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count page views and understand which pages are popular. The analytics tool does not set tracking cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and aggregates data in a way that does not allow individual users to be identified. We do not use Google Analytics.
Contact form. If you write to us via the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and retain it for as long as needed to handle your request, typically no more than 12 months.
How we use information
We use the limited information we collect to operate the site, respond to inquiries, monitor for abuse, and improve content based on which pages are visited. We do not sell or rent personal information to any third party. We do not use your information for advertising profiling.
Cookies
We use a single strictly-necessary cookie to remember your house-system and zodiac preferences across sessions. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
Third-party services
We use Google Fonts CDN to serve typographic assets. Google may log standard request information (IP, user agent) when fonts are loaded. We use a privacy-focused analytics provider as described above. We do not embed third-party tracking pixels, social-media widgets that load before consent, or advertising tags. If we add display advertising in the future, we will update this policy and the cookie policy first.
Your rights
European Union (GDPR). If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. The legal basis for our processing is legitimate interest (operating and improving a free public website) and, for the contact form, contract (responding to your request). To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page.
California (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Other jurisdictions. Where applicable, similar rights apply under your local data protection law (e.g., LGPD in Brazil, PIPEDA in Canada, Privacy Act in Australia).
Data retention
Server logs: 30 days. Contact form messages: up to 12 months. Analytics aggregates: indefinitely (in non-personally-identifiable form). Birth data: never collected, therefore never retained.
International data transfers
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's global edge network. By accessing the site, your request may be served from a data centre outside your country of residence. We rely on Cloudflare's data processing addendum and standard contractual clauses where required.
Children's privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the contact form, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and announced on the changelog. The effective date at the top of this policy will reflect the most recent revision.
